Hollywood Shills for Terrorists!

Sunday's Academy Awards show will display Hollywood at its most liberal, craven, appeasing self as it glorifies two different movies extolling the virtues of terrorist while bashing Jews and Americans.

First up, for best documentary, Paradise Now, the humanizing story of two suicide bombers. Of course, while praising murderers, Hollywood has no time for stories like these:

An Israeli dad whose son was killed in a suicide bombing is hoping that Oscar turns his back on "Paradise Now," a Palestinian-made film he says "encourages" terrorism.
Yossi Zur, who lost a son in a 2003 suicide-bomb attack, headed a petition drive urging Oscar honchos to yank the nomination.
"I'm not arguing that the film should not be made or shown - that would be against free speech. But there's a big difference between making it and endorsing it with an Academy Award," Zur said in a phone interview yesterday.
"Paradise Now," a story told from the viewpoint of Palestinian suicide bombers, is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film.
"This film has a dangerous message. It justifies the killing of innocents. This is the thing I resent most," Zur said.
His son Asaf, 17, was killed by a bomb-strapped passenger as he rode a city bus home from school in Haifa on March 5, 2003. Seventeen people were killed in the attack, including nine schoolchildren.
Officials at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which runs the Oscar ceremonies, refused to comment yesterday.

Yup, our bleeding heart liberals, "progressives" and "humanists", have no time to even talk to a man whose son was murdered by those they lift unto a pedestal. Hollywood, like the MSM in general, is still stuck on stupid and refuses to go off-message even as reality closes in all around them. Notice, not a squawk out of the left coast liberals about the animals of Hamas running the Palestinian lands, right? Surprised? Cmon, didn't you see "Munich" (also nominated as a best picture!)? Don't you know it is all relative? Terrorists, Jews...they are all the same!
Well, don't blame them, they are probably too busy drooling over Syriana - Charles Krauthammer explains:

Nothing tells you more about Hollywood than what it chooses to honor. Nominated for best foreign-language film is "Paradise Now," a sympathetic portrayal of two suicide bombers. Nominated for best picture is "Munich," a sympathetic portrayal of yesterday's fashion in barbarism: homicide terrorism.
But until you see "Syriana," nominated for best screenplay (and George Clooney, for best supporting actor) you have no idea how self-flagellation and self-loathing pass for complexity and moral seriousness in Hollywood

...only two things are absolutely clear and coherent: the movie's one political hero and one pure soul.
The political hero is the Arab prince who wants to end corruption, inequality and oppression in his country. As he tells his tribal elders, he intends to modernize his country by bringing the rule of law, market efficiency, women's rights and democracy.
What do you think happens to him? He, his beautiful wife and beautiful children are murdered, incinerated, by a remote-controlled missile, fired from CIA headquarters in Langley, no less -- at the very moment that (this passes for subtle cross-cutting film editing) his evil younger brother, the corrupt rival to the throne and puppet of the oil company, is being hailed at a suitably garish "oilman of the year" celebration populated by fat and ugly Americans.

It gets worse. The most pernicious element in the movie is the character at the moral heart of the film: the beautiful, modest, caring, generous Pakistani who becomes a beautiful, modest, caring, generous . . . suicide bomber.

By what it glorifies, Hollywood's rotting husk of a soul is clearly showing. Decadence (brought about by undeserved fame, unlimited wealth, and an "anything-goes" morality) has brought this collection of knaves and fools to the embrace of the slaughter of innocents as nothing more than good theatre, to be embraced as an art form, and glorified in as such. Decadence and evil will always find each other's hands to grasp in the dark; and their full embrace will be on display at the Academy Awards Sunday.

My prediction: Despite the mainstream media pimping of these amoral whores, this Sunday's Academy Awards telecast will be one of the lowest rated in some time. I'll follow up Monday...
