The Media and The New Boss

Want to know what "reporting" will look like in The Age of Obama?

Why do I have the distinct impression that "humor" and "grace" were two words never used in the same sentence as "President Bush"? A man who was well-liked by all who personally met him - even those who disagreed with him - was ruthlessly tagged as an ignorant incompetent by those who could not fill his jockstrap. And Obama, who still has accomplished nothing in life - besides gettting elected to office via empty rhetoric - is full of "humor and grace".

Well, we'll see how long he can maintain it.

And for those out there who seem to think that the honeymoon with the press is over, and the media will return to the hard-hitting investigative journalism it once specialized in...you are kidding yourself. Expect four more years of the above, no matter what state the nation finds itself in.

Michelle was spending extravagantly on her outfits and I believe her haircut. Why no similar media coverage like when Palin bought her clothes for the convention? Hmmm...wonder why?

Yeah, I thought about that as well. I was so annoyed by it that I started to post on it, then just deleted it in frustration.

But it is an unbelievable double-standard. It's like committing a robbery (the media) in broad daylight, while the passers-by (the electorate) pretend not to notice.
