"We Are A Nation Of Cowards"

Now who said that? The madman of Iran? Osama bin Ladin? The last surviving member of Hamas?

No, no, and no. It's our new Attorney General, Eric Holder ! And why are we cowards? Because we aren't fighting hard enough against terrorism, against Muslim extremism, against resurgent worldwide anti-Semitism?

No, silly goose. It's beacuse you and I and every other gentle reader of this blog has not spent enough of their life discussing race:

"Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards," said Holder, the nation's first black attorney general.

Race issues continue to be a topic of political discussion, Holder said, but "we, as average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race."

Gee, I'm so sorry, Eric! What's the matter - Whitey hasn't come groveling before you enough, begging for forgiveness for...what, exactly? Not enough folks lining up to hear you pontificate about what it means to be black? Not enough people for your liking coming up to you and saying, "Hey, we have different color skin. Let's talk about that!" ?

What a self-absorbed little man. Dude, the nation has moved past race, and most of the younger generation doesn't even notice differences in appearances anymore. What the hell is there to talk about? That you like rap, and I like metal? That's called a cultural difference, pinhead, and part of being a melting pot is to respect eveyone's culture - as long as it is confined within the overall arch of American values - even if you do not choose to take part of it.

That's not cowardice, that's respect. Sorry if you're feeling a lack of it these days - maybe's it's because of who you are, what you've done, and who you work for? Remember - those who always cry out for respect are usually the last to earn it, ususally because they are least deserving.

So keep your accusations of "cowardice" to yourself, until the next time you face yourself in the mirror. Then ask yourself why you must cast aspersions upon all Americans for your own peculiar lack of self-worth....

I'm sure he'd love to hear from you-in his eyes, I guess you would be "brave"??

Holder is a brave man - so is our beloved president. If our beloved president says that we are cowards then we are. We must listen to our leader - he will take care of us and he knows more than we do.
