Richard Cohen Brings The "Big Hate" To Sarah Palin

Whenever an American speaks the truth about the Democratic program - think Joe the Plumber - they are attacked ruthlessly by the media. Especially if it is a plantation member - think blacks, or women - who have defied their master's thinking. Then the hate really spews forth.

So how do we know Sarah Palin has touched upon the new third rail of American politics, also known as the truth? Just look at the hateful broadside launched against her by hack Richard Cohen:

The mind of the demagogue is a foreign country. It has a strange culture, enemies that only the natives can see, a passion about the ridiculous and a blowtorch kind of sincerity that incinerates logical thinking. On Sunday, the custodian of one such blowtorch was on Fox News. I am speaking, of course, of Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin a demagogue? Why?

Palin's performance Sunday on Fox News was instructive. This was the show in which she said that the CBS affiliate in Anchorage, KTVA, is staffed by "corrupt bastards." This demure protest from the Evita of the North was a response to a tape in which the station's staffers were overheard saying they would look for a child molester at a campaign stop for senatorial candidate Joe Miller, whom Palin endorsed.

Gee, it all seemed cut and dried to me, when I read the transcript:

MALE REPORTER: Oh yes…Joe Miller’s…uh…get a list of people/campaign workers which one’s the molester [INAUDIBLE]
FEMALE VOICE: You know that of all the people that will show up tonight, at least one of them will be a registered sex offender. [Laughter]
MALE REPORTER: We need to find that one person… [INAUDIBLE]
FEMALE REPORTER: The one thing we can do is ….we won’t know….we won’t know but if there is any sort of chaos whatsoever we can put out a twitter/facebook alert: saying what the… “Hey Joe Miller punched at rally.”

But Richard the liberal is so much smarter than us, or the demagogue/Evita/Hitleresque Sarah Palin:

But hold on. How do you find a sex offender in a crowd? Do you go from person to person asking, "S'cuse me, but are you a sex offender?" Because if that is not done, then I can't see how you can ever find one. Do sex offenders wear special uniforms? No. It's obvious, then, that these staffers were joking - playing into the Palin stereotype of them as liberal hacks who would do anything to destroy her.

Ah...a rather bizarre interpretation, wouldn't you say? Perhaps it is just wishful thinking by KTVA's staff, but could they not simply go over a list of attendees and cross-list them against any criminal database? And what of the whole fictional fight they discuss ginning up? Cohen doesn't even touch that. Instead, feeling that he has explained away this vicious attempt by the Alaskan media to smear Joe Miller, he then goes on to show how smart he is by...smearing Sarah Palin:

The fierce stupidity of this woman is hard to comprehend. Sincerity, uncomplicated by any sophistication whatsoever, is what fuels her considerable charisma...

It's all a seamless conspiracy of them - they and them and those and them and all those elites who . . . she'll show 'em

Sarah Palin: Demagogue, Evita Peron wannabe, fiercely stupid, and apparently a paranoid schizoid.

Funny, these are words someone could equally apply to Barack Obama. But we don't work that way.

Apparently, Richard Cohen didn't take Jon Stewart's words to heart,either....

He's an angry lefty, no more, and he's taking out his rage on a woman who dared stand up and point out how the media was conspiring to bring a good man down with lies and innuendo. Or maybe he's just angry that Sarah has uncovered the game, and is trying to discredit her.

Or maybe, he's just fiercely stupid.

Let's see how the Tea Party fares tonight. If by their efforts, the GOP retakes Congress, we will be able to fix the "fiercely stupid" label exactly where it belongs...
