Despite the Newark Star-Ledger's recent attempt to de-legitimize Governor Christie by calling last week's blizzard his own personal "Katrina" (which would make the NYC fiasco where children were actually killed by Bloomberg's negligence his personal "Hiroshima"?), while laughably claiming he had drawn international condemnation for being on vacation when the storm struck, it seems as if the American people are a little smarter than your average liberal newspaper.

In a hypothetical field of 2012 Republican presidential candidates, the only one who would beat President Barack Obama is New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, according to a new Zogby International poll.
Despite those results and the recent election day Republican landslide, Christie said Obama should not be worried.
“I’m sure the president is resting easy…knowing that the only person who’s beating him in the poll will once again declare that I’m not running for President of the United States,” Christie told reporters, including 1010 WINS’ Steve Sandberg Tuesday.
Whether Chris Christie runs or not may not even be relevent, as long as the Republican candidate makes it clear that he will govern as Christie - fighting the unions, cutting spending, cutting taxes, confront ideological adversaries head-on, be they in the Chamber or in the media - that candidate will have a good chance of beating Barack Obama.
Even the left-leaning Zogby confesses as much:
Zogby said one of the most important things to take away from the poll was that the president was polling in the low 40′s against the Republican candidates.
The results, Zogby said, were “not good for an incumbent” and suggested “maybe the big loser in this poll right now is President Obama,” he said.
Barack Obama as the "Biggest Loser"? He'll survive, financially as well as in the heart of the leftist intelligentsia. It's the liberal policies that he champions that will be the biggest loser, as they are exiled from serious conversation for a generation or more...
