Well, at least in the way he takes on his adversaries in the media. Congressman King comes out swinging against the New York Times' attempt to portray him as a 21st century Joe McCarthy, as King has dared called for hearings into domestic radicalization of Muslims:
Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), the incoming chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, ripped into The New York Times Tuesday for telling him in a weekend editorial to tone down his rhetoric.
“I’m absolutely delighted that The New York Times would attack me,” he said in an interview with The Hill. “I have nothing but contempt for them. They should be indicted under the Espionage Act. … The New York Times is just basically being a mouthpiece for political correctness.”
King’s proposal to hold one of his first hearings on the radicalization of U.S. Muslims and homegrown terrorism has brought a rash of criticism from those who argue it could turn into a McCarthy-esque witch hunt, fueling distrust among Muslim citizens of the government.
In its editorial, the Times said King’s “sweeping slur on Muslim citizens is unacceptable.” It also accused him of too much “blather” and “bluster” on a host of national security issues, saying King "has popped off far too often in recent years.....
FYI, "popping off" is liberal-speak for any conservative who dares to proudly defends his ideology. Compare the Times' criticism of King to the french-kiss/farewell f*ck it gave to liberal flamethrower Alan Grayson, who infamously claimed that Republican opposition to ObamaCare was based in their desire for Americans to "die quickly" while mocking his conservative election opponent Daniel Webster as "Taliban Dan". See the dichotomy? King does:
“I’m certainly not going to take any political advice or direction from The New York Times,” he said. “I have more contempt for The New York Times than anything or anyone I can think of.”
What did we say earlier today about Chris Christie?
Whether Chris Christie runs or not may not even be relevant, as long as the Republican candidate makes it clear that he will govern as Christie - fighting the unions, cutting spending, cutting taxes, confront ideological adversaries head-on, be they in the Chamber or in the media - that candidate will have a good chance of beating Barack Obama.
Peter King for President? Don't be surprised....

Good comparison to Grayson. That guy was a real A**HOLE! He makes Peter King look like a diplomat.
He played his role as part of the Kamikaze Congress of 2009-2010, and now he's at home.
